She signed on for three movies with Yash Raj Films. The film in which she starred played the role of a young bride for a middle-aged man (the role Shah Rukh Khan was playing). The film was hit on the box office and was the second-highest-grossing movie of 2008. In 2010 Anushka Sharma starred in the film "Badmash Company" along with Shahid Kapoor Das as well as Meiyang Chang. It received mixed reviews. Anushka performed the role of an Punjabi girl from middle-class families in the film 'Band Baaja Baaraat. Anushka was in the film with Ranveer. The film received a positive review and turned out to be the perfect sleeper success. Anushka completed her three-film deal with Yash Raj Films after Band Baaja Baaraat.
