Anushka appeared as one of the Punjabi girl from the middle-class in the film 'Band Baaja Baaraat. The film featured her alongside Ranveer. It received favorable reviews and was considered to be an unexpected success. Anushka finished her deal of three films together with Yash Raj Films after Band Baaja Baaraat.
